If You Do Not Have a Professional Instagram Account

It is recommended to switch your Instagram account to a Professional Account before onboarding it on the CPaaS platform.

Follow these steps to switch to a Professional Account:

1. Open Instagram and go to your profile page.

2. Click the Settings button, then go to Settings and Privacy.

3. From the left-side menu, select Account Type and Tools.

4. Click Switch to Professional Account and follow the required steps to complete the setup.

5. In the "Which best describes you?" pop-up, select Business.

6. Review the information about Business Accounts and continue.

7. Select a category for your account, then click Done.

8. In the "Switch to Your Professional Account" pop-up, click Continue.

9. Review your contact information and choose whether you want it to appear on your profile. Your Instagram Professional Account is now ready.

Now follow these steps to onboard your Instagram account:

1. Navigate to the Instagram Onboarding page. Refer to (navigating to the Instagram onboarding section).

2. Click the Connect Instagram Account button.

3. Enter your Instagram account credentials.

Note: If your Instagram account is not configured as a Professional Account, a pop-up will appear asking you to switch your account type. Click Change and follow the steps described above.

Important: If you do not switch to a Business Account, the onboarding process will fail and you will remain on the Instagram tab.

4. Click the Allow button to give Javna permission to access and manage your Instagram messages, content, insights, and comments.

   These permissions are enabled by default during onboarding. You can turn them on or off at any time using the toggle switches.

5. A confirmation message will appear indicating the Instagram account has been onboarded successfully, and the connected account will be listed in the table.

Note: By following the same onboarding steps, you can connect multiple Professional Instagram accounts to your CPaaS account.
