Mark Message as Read and Show Typing Indicator

Mark a message as read and optionally activate a typing indicator, letting the WhatsApp user know a response is being prepared. This is considered good practice if your reply will take a few seconds.

The typing indicator is automatically dismissed once a reply is sent or after 25 seconds—whichever comes first. To avoid a poor user experience, only enable the typing indicator if you intend to reply shortly.

The Id of the received message you want to set as read

A value indicating the type of content being typed. Only text is currently supported. This field is defined as an enum for future extensibility when more content types are supported.

Allowed:
boolean

Set to true to enable typing indicator after marking the message as read.
